The history of relations between India and China dates back to the 2nd century BC and has translated into bilateral relations valued at over $100 billion in the 21st century. Today, the two Asian giants represent Asia’s two largest and most dynamic economies - forming the face of the new world.

As per the General Administration of Customs (GAC) of China, India-China trade crossed the $100-billion mark in October this year. Registering an increase of 22.2 per cent as compared with the same period last year, the GAC data showed that the overall trade volume between India and China was $102.29 billion. China exported goods to India worth $78.33 billion, while India’s exports stood at $23.96 billion to China.
